Our Inner City Walking Tour was one of the highlights of our trip to South Africa. Our guide Kaizer was not only very informative but also entertaining and personable. He made the area come alive for us. We also felt safe at all times. We loved that the tour included Maboneng but was not limited to just that area. There are so many Maboneng tours out there, but Maboneng makes a lot more sense when you see it in the context of the history of the downtown area and Joberg in general. We had a great time: saw some great art, bought some original art to take home with us, learned a lot of history, had some delicious coffee, and made a genuine human connection. What else can you ask for? - Eva
We were a group of 4 adults, curious to explore Johannesburg's city center but understandably concerned about safety. Curiocity Joburg completely put our minds at ease. We were welcomed inside the Curiocity building while waiting for our guide, so we felt secure right from the start. Our guide, Tshepo, was excellent --- efficient, knowledgeable, and a great communicator. The walk covered an impressive range of topics: the mining history of the city, its cultural heritage, the impact of segregation, the ongoing issue of illegal gold mining, the past and current political landscape, Mandela's presence in Johannesburg, and the evolution of the city's architecture and art scene. The tour lasts about 4 hours, but don't let that put you off --- it's an easy, slow-paced walk accessible to everyone, and the content is engaging enough that the time flies by. We stayed attentive and interested from beginning to end. Most importantly, we felt safe throughout the entire visit. We highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to go beyond the typical tourist spots and truly understand Johannesburg. A fantastic experience with a great guide. Thank you Tshepo for your explanations ! - Jean
This was a great tour! Kaiser was a knowledgeable and friendly guy. We saw heaps, and learned lots and would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone interested in having a good look around with a locals view and knowledge. - Glenn
Great Tour with Sepo (? I hope i wrote the name right)!!! Super good insights about the different quarters in Joburg, the history, street art and future plans. Sepo is happy to answer all the questions and loves Joburg for itself. For me it was a great experience to see some real life on streets that are not made to please the tourists. Even though I am aware that this was still just a small percentage of what Joburg really is. Thanks a lot. Also for the Soweto Tour! - Mona
Fantastic tour with very knowledgeable guide great way to see downtown joburg - Ian
